Why can't I take some opportunities with a large spread?

Usually the spot leg can't deposit or withdraw, volume is too thin, the two legs aren't the same coin, or the market is being delisted. Check the labels on the row first, then the volume.

Common reasons

  • The spot leg can't deposit or withdraw: when a row shows Deposit only, Withdrawal only or Deposits and withdrawals suspended, coins can't move into or out of that exchange, and the spread may not close for a long time. All opportunities has the first quick filter, Spot leg can deposit and withdraw, on by default so only those markets are listed. Click it again to see everything.

  • Volume is too thin: the spread uses the best bid and ask, which covers only the top level. In markets with low volume and a thin order book, a slightly larger order moves the price. Check the row's volume and open interest first.

  • The legs aren't the same coin: a few tickers belong to different projects on different exchanges, with prices several times apart. Such a spread won't close. When a spread looks unusually large, compare both prices on the coin page first.

  • The market is being delisted: markets with an exchange delisting notice are marked on the row. After opening, you may not have time to close.

See only what you can trade

Add conditions such as volume and a spread cap to the filters, then save them as a tag so the filtered list is there whenever you open it. See How to set up alerts.
