Web alerts make no sound

Alert sounds are played by the current browser. When there is no sound, check the bell first, then whether the browser is blocking audio.

Common causes

  • The bell is off: the bell turns alert and fill sounds on or off for the current browser. It is remembered by the browser and not synced to other devices, so turn it on again on each device.

  • The browser is blocking audio: a note appears next to the bell. Click the page once to restore sound. If there is still no sound, check the site’s sound permissions.

  • do not disturb is on: no sound plays during that time.

  • One-off alerts: an alert such as Position opened sounds once. Several alerts at the same moment also sound once, and with several tabs open only one of them plays.

Trade doesn’t send browser system notifications. To get alerts away from your computer, connect a Telegram or Feishu channel. See Set up notification channels.
