Connect ApeX Omni
ApeX Omni connects through a wallet or with an existing API. This guide covers what to prepare on ApeX and how to add the account in Trade.
Prepare on ApeX
Adding with Connect wallet needs nothing else. The wallet doesn’t have to be set up on ApeX yet: that happens as you add it.
To add with Enter API key, first get four items on the ApeX API management page:
Click Generate API, choose Trade as the API Type, and create the API key, API secret and passphrase.
Click Omni Key to get the Seeds.
If you set an IP allowlist on the key, add your Trade server’s egress IP addresses. The Add account window lists them under Server egress IPs. Choose Copy all egress IPs.
Account mode and position mode
The only account mode is Omni account: cross-margin USDT perpetual contracts. Legacy Pro accounts are no longer available.
Perpetuals use one-way mode, with nothing to set up. Contract leverage is set in the combo, and Trade applies it on the exchange.
Enter it in Trade
In Trade, open Accounts, choose Add account, select ApeX Omni, then pick a Connection method. For the general steps, see Connect an exchange.
Connect wallet
Choose Connect wallet to connect your wallet, then choose Sign and add. Confirm each signature in your wallet as the window prompts. The window says what each step signs, how many signatures remain and any fee a step involves. No key is entered by hand. Once signed, Trade on your server can place orders and transfer funds on ApeX on your behalf.
Manual API
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| API key | The API key generated on ApeX |
| Secret Key | The API secret from the same generation |
| Passphrase | The passphrase from the same generation |
| Seeds | The Seeds you get from Omni Key. Don’t enter a wallet private key |
All four must belong to the same ApeX account. Both methods also need an Account name. Supported markets offers perpetuals only.
