Why isn’t my combo placing orders
The combo’s status and message column say what it is waiting for. Match what you see with the cases below.
Match the status and message
| You see | Meaning and what to do |
|---|---|
| Stopped | The combo isn’t trading. Choose Run |
| Reduce-only | No opening. New combos, a liquidation risk alert and automatic alignment all leave a combo in this state. Check it, then choose Resume opening |
| Monitoring | The spread hasn’t reached the open trigger |
| At target | The target position is reached |
| Liquidation distance at the pause-opening line | opening paused. Opening resumes by itself once the liquidation distance recovers |
| Below the exchange minimum order size | The remaining position is too small for one minimum order. See Below the exchange minimum order size |
| Waiting to retry | The exchange rejected an order or a temporary error occurred. Trade keeps retrying. Open the combo’s Log to see the exchange’s response |
| Waiting for the latest quotes, Waiting for the latest quotes | Wait for market data to recover |
| The status center shows “N accounts disconnected” | Restore the connection on the Accounts page |
