Connect GRVT

Trade uses a GRVT Trading Account to trade USDT perpetuals. This guide covers what to prepare on GRVT and what to enter in Trade.

Prepare on GRVT

  1. On GRVT, create an API key for the trading account you want to use. The API key belongs to the trading account; the funding account does not trade.

  2. Create a trading account API key and tick Trade. Leave Read only unticked: with it on, the key can’t place orders. To transfer out of this trading account in Trade, also tick Transfer. A trading account API key has no withdrawal switch. External Transfer on a funding account API key sends funds to another user. Trade doesn’t need it, so leave it off.

  3. Note three things: the API key, the Signing private key and the Trading Account ID.

  4. If you set an IP allowlist on the key, add your Trade server’s egress IP addresses. The Add account window lists them under Server egress IPs. Choose Copy all egress IPs.

Account mode and position mode

The only account mode is Trading Account: the whole trading account shares one cross-margin pool for USDT perpetual contracts. On GRVT, either simple or portfolio cross margin works, with single-asset or multi-asset margin.

Perpetuals use one-way mode, with nothing to set up. Contract leverage is set in the combo, and Trade applies it on the exchange.

Enter it in Trade

In Trade, open Accounts, choose Add account and select GRVT. For the general steps, see Connect an exchange.
