Account and sign-in security
This page explains how to create and sign in to a Z Market Lab account, manage your email, password and signed-in devices, and recover the account if you forget your password.
Create an account
Email: enter your email and a password, accept the terms, then enter the 6-digit code sent to that address.
Google: verify with your Google account, then set a password.
If your Google email already has an account, no second account is created: sign in with your password, then link Google in Settings.
Sign in
Sign in with Email or username and your password, or with a linked Google account. After repeated wrong attempts you wait for the countdown to end before trying again.
Email and sign-in methods
Manage these in Settings:
Under Account, choose Add email or Change email. Your email is used to sign in and to reset your password; without one, you can’t reset a forgotten password yourself.
Under Sign-in & security, Sign-in methods lets you link or unlink Google. Once linked, you can sign in with Google and use it to recover a forgotten password. After unlinking, you can still sign in with your password.
Before you change your password, change your email, link or unlink, you confirm it’s you: enter your current password, or verify once with your linked Google account.
Password
Under Sign-in & security, choose Change password. Every other device will be signed out. This one stays signed in. The length requirement is shown next to the field, and common passwords aren’t allowed.
Devices and sign-in activity
In Sign-in & security, Current device and Other devices list your devices, with when each was last seen.
Choose Sign out for a device, and that device has to sign in again.
Sign out all devices signs out every device at once, including this one.
Up to 10 devices can be signed in at once. Beyond that, the device that has been inactive the longest is signed out.
Sign-in activity records sign-ins, password changes, email updates, linking and unlinking, and device sign-outs. If you see something you didn’t do, change your password right away; every other device is then signed out.
When your sign-in expires, the page asks you to sign in again where you are, and your page and settings are kept. You can also choose Continue without signing in.
Recover your account
On the sign-in page, choose Forgot password? and enter your account email.
Enter the 6-digit code from the email and set a new password. Your other devices are signed out.
Google is linked: sign in with Google, then change your password in Settings.
No email on the account and no Google sign-in: recovery isn’t guaranteed. Contact us; once we verify your identity, we may issue a one-time reset link.
