What to do after an update
An update restarts the trading service and doesn’t close open positions. After it completes, check the items below.
Check after the update
If the page says A new version of this page is available, reload it to load the new version.
Read the release notes for this version under Announcements and updates.
Open Combos and check their status. The combos that were running continue to trade from their parameters and don’t resume earlier orders. Stopped ones stay stopped.
On the Accounts page, open Reconciliation. An order left from before the update that filled before it was cancelled shows up as a position difference. See What to do about a position difference alert.
Two special cases
While Trade is stopped, an update is only prepared, not installed. It installs once you choose Start Trade in System maintenance, or choose to install and start.
If you see Update failed; the current version is unaffected., the current version keeps running. That version isn’t retried; the next higher version updates as usual.
