The combo’s leverage isn’t what I entered

Leverage follows what the exchange accepts. When you save a combo, Trade sends the leverage to the exchange and tells you, leg by leg, whether the exchange accepted it.

What happened on save

On save, Leverage synchronization results shows for each leg whether the exchange accepted the value.

  • Editing a combo: a leg the exchange rejected keeps its previous leverage. The other parameters are saved as usual.

  • Creating a combo: a leg the exchange rejected shows the leverage currently set on the exchange. If Trade can’t read the actual leverage, the result is pending verification, or the request couldn’t be sent, the leg is saved with the value you entered and the sync result marks it as not synced.

A failed leverage sync doesn’t stop the combo from being saved.

What to do

Expand Exchange response to see why it was rejected. Fix that on the exchange, then enter the leverage you want in the combo and save. Trade sends it again. If the combo already shows the value you want (as when a new combo kept the value you entered), saving the same value again doesn’t submit it to the exchange again. Set that leverage on the exchange directly.

An instrument the exchange allows only in isolated margin is marked Isolated only, and that leg’s margin is calculated separately.
