Pair with Z Market Lab

Pairing links your Trade to your Z Market Lab account, so opportunities you send from Z Market Lab arrive in Trade.

Pair

Pairing takes one step on each side: generate a code in Trade, then enter it in Z Market Lab. Pairing and sending opportunities to Trade, manually or automatically, are free with a Z Market Lab account; no subscription is needed.

  1. In Trade, open Z Market Lab in the sidebar and choose Generate a pairing code.

  2. Choose Enter the pairing code in Z Market Lab, or sign in to Z Market Lab yourself and open the Connection tab on the ZML Trade page. Choose Pair and enter the code. The code expires after a few minutes; generate a new one if it does.

  3. Back on the Z Market Lab page in Trade, choose Confirm connection to Z Market Lab.

  4. The Z Market Lab page in Trade shows Connected, and the ZML Trade page in Z Market Lab lists this Trade under My Trade.

ZML Trade 0.2.135 and earlier has no Z Market Lab page. There, you generate the code and confirm the connection under Signals, in Receiving rules.

Data sent

Z Market Lab sends opportunities to Trade: exchange, market, pair and direction. Trade only confirms that it got them. Z Market Lab receives nothing about your accounts, combos or trades.

Opportunities arrive in Trade’s Signals. For each source, Receiving rules decide whether to ignore it, hold signals for your review or create combos automatically. A new combo is created in reduce-only by default and opens nothing. If Auto-open after creation is on under Automatically generated, the new combo starts by itself and places orders from its parameters.

Manage the connection

  • The Z Market Lab page in Trade shows the connection status, where Trade is connected to and the last contact. Test connection checks that Trade can reach Z Market Lab. It creates no combo and places no order.

  • On the Connection tab of the ZML Trade page in Z Market Lab, you can use Test connection, Pause push, Resume push and Disconnect.

  • In Trade, Disconnect ends the pairing. Delivery stops at once, signals already received are kept, and reconnecting needs a new pairing code.

  • A Trade pairs with one Z Market Lab account at a time.

Network

Trade connects out to Z Market Lab over HTTPS. Pairing doesn’t need any inbound port. If Z Market Lab shows Trade as offline, check that Trade is running and the server can reach Z Market Lab.
